My setup:
- Kodi 18.1 RC1 on OSMC (beta) running on Raspberry Pi 3B+, but this happens with every version of Kodi I've tried
- Tvheadend 4.2.2 running on a separate Linux-based server computer on my home network
- I am using Tvheadend (for local channels from my antenna) in combination with IPTV Simple (in conjunction with the Playstation Vue addon and PS Vue EPG Build Service by Eracknaphobia to combine PS Vue channels with my locals)
My Problem:
Any time I start up Kodi, after about a minute or so Tvheadend PVR crashes and restarts. When it restarts, IPTV Simple seems to have also crashed and doesn't restart. So I end up with only my local antenna channels. I have to manually clear all PVR data in Kodi (Settings --> PVR & Live TV --> General --> Clear data). After that, everything works perfectly until the next restart. This does not occur if I use either one individually. I also just read a forum post where another PVR (NextPVR I think?) was having a similar problem.
Is there anything that I can do to fix this? Is this a bug?
