Hi Guys, My add-on is merely a front page for youtube-dl which is designed to let people watch full videos from YouTube, not just part of it. There aren't any options on youtube-di to only extract part of a video or to create a file header for a partial video. On a ... that doesn't have ffmpeg installed, youtube-dl is able to find the streams that contain both audio and video and extract the whole file from them. There are no requirements to do any extra processing or convert it to a different format as FFmpeg or avconv would need to be done.
Ffmpeg has options for limiting the output by file size or length and can change formats on the fry. On Android systems, ffmpeg is not available for use by Kodi and this addon. It appears that, for some reason, Android apps are not allowed to do some other things when running on it.
