Mouse pointer lower section
#1
Hello,

With the last version on mojave and kodi leia 18.1, it’s not possible to use the mouse pointer on the lower section (for example playback buttons) or exit button to go out kodi.

I happened long time in the past with mavericks i think and you fixed it.

Strange thing are:
- if i put a resolution lower, it works great
- if i change defaut with the name of the monitor, it works great

In both case, if i restart kodi, its not working anymore.

Any help please?

Thanks a lot.

And it works in Kodi 18.0?
Which resolution are you using and which is the „lower resolution“ you are talking about?

Same issue with 18.0

I am using 1920 x1080p full hd.
If i go down to 1600x900, its working.

Any ideas?

Of course not. Even the last try to fix it was voodoo and could not be properly explained. Stupid SDL is just screwed.

Though it seems this I not a generic issue for all users because most use fullhd resolution I think.

What kind of GPU do you have? Retina with dual GPU or something like that?

Can you post a debug log (wiki) when starting Kodi in case I miss some internal specs?

Disable library scan in startup - that’s the only thing I can think of that fills the log that quick.

I have no idea why you started to PM me about this issue. I do no private support. The log you provided still has library scanning on start on. Turn it off to make the log more readable. Post a new log after that here.

Also your addons17.db is broken. It is not related to your issue pretty sure but you should delete that broken db file and let Kodi create a new one to prevent other issues.

Please let me know about the mouse pointer issue.

I can’t reproduce the mouse pointer issue at all. Tried multiple monitor constellations.

Delete Addon20 and Addon27 - both are corrupt.

Log says it tries to update form 20 to 27.

Move away all Addons db files in there then.
Something is broken in your userdata folder for sure.
