ok, I will do my best to describe this.
I like to have the view set to ICON in my movie library. I like to have it set to put movies and their sequels in a set. It seems that I can't set the default view for the movie sets to be ICON, they are all at LIST. I would have to open EACH set and change the view, and any new set created to change the view. Is there a way to simply set the default view for set to be ICON? Am I missing some hidden but obvious option somewhere?

To my knowledge you have to do this process for each individual movie set.

You could try it in the Estuary skin to see if you have the same experience.
If you don't, there could be something to do.

I just tried it in Estuary, and it's the same issue as you experience in Rapier.

You have to set the views for each movie set.

I never had the issue with Estuary. Once I change the view of the first movie set, all the other displayed the same way. I did not use Estuary when I updated to 18 though, I figured new version, new skin as well.

That's not what I experienced though.

I had to change the view in Estuary for each individual movie set.
Exactly like in Rapier

Remember to check enough movie sets, as some will have the view type set properly.
