VSF Add-on Subcatagory Missing
well i upgraded from fedora 28-29 over the last few days before i did i uninstalled kodi using dnf remove kodi

upgraded and updated the system and installed kodi again.

i went to connect to my sever via sftp and i noticed it wasn't in the list, so i went to install the add-on for it but for the life of me i cant locate it or even the vfs category in the add-on install page.

have i screwed up my install of kodi or is something else up?
can anyone help, how do i install the SFTP Add-on from the Add-on repository if the VFS catagory is not present in my default kodi repository,

evrytime i re-install kodi it seems to restore my kodi backup could that be causing a problem
I have the same problem.
Also browsing addons on https://kodi.tv/addons with virtual filesystem as category returns zero results.
Is there are a problem with the repository at the moment?
I think you have to download the add-on for the system you are using. For Arch Linux there is a package in AUR called kodi-addon-vfs-sftp fx.
im thinking that everything will be handled by distor repos i know Ubuntu has the sftp addon in there repo just not sure how many others have sorted it
Installing Kodi for the first time on Fedora 29 : no VFS addon in the list, thus unable to reach my NAS with SFTP, in the same manner has my android boxes. ( too bad for the unified 'user experience' provided with centralized kodi database... )
on linux, you have ask your distro packager or build from source.

On fedora 29 : dnf search kodi|grep -i vfs
give no results
no clue to compile that on Fedora : https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/kodi-addon-vfs-sftp/
git installed,
"git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/kodi-addon-vfs-sftp.git" worked and created a folder
but 'makepkg' doesnt exists on Fedora, has far I have searched.
