good evening all, im very stuck with a wired problem

After reading the official wiki

im still stuck with a rather big problem

how do i install the SFTP Add-on from the Add-on repository if the VFS catagory is not present in my default kodi repository,

evrytime i re-install kodi it seems to restore my kodi backup could that be causing a problem or is there something elce that im not getting.

and it is worth noting that i have managed to install sftp on kodi 18 on xbox one.

but if anyone can help shed some light on this id really appreciate it

on linux you cannot install binary addons from our addon repository, they have to be packaged by your distribution, just like kodi itself.
But you could use https://flathub.org/apps/details/tv.kodi.Kodi instead

Thanks wsnipex ill give it a shot im guessing that a flat pack is different than what my distro's repo offers slightly in the way it is compiled or something
