Linux and visualizations
#1
The distro I'm using, PCLOS, has Kodi Leia in the repo.  Everything works great except there aren't any music visualizations included in the package from PCLOS and there aren't any available in the Kodi for linux repo.

I wonder if the PCLOS packagers should be using a different source code that would include visualizations.  If someone could point me in the right direction and help me communicate how to fix this I'd appreciate it.

Visualizations are binary addons. Your distribution has to package them so that you can use it. The source you can find here: https://github.com/xbmc/repo-binary-addons

We provide a testing ppa for Ubuntu.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Thanks for the help fritsch,  I'm not smart about github, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of code here.  I'm specifically interested in projectm.

This link to the projectm github doesn't go anywhere... https://github.com/xbmc/visualization.projectm master

This link to the goom visualization doesn't work either... https://github.com/notspiff/visualization.goom%20master

If I point a dev at your link is anything really going to build?
