Use local channel icons rather than icons from M3U
#1
I have a paid IPTV service and the M3U includes links to logos on the server side.  I hate the logos they use.  I want Kodi to use the logos which I have stored locally rather than those from the M3U.  I have assigned the local folder for logos in both the PVR settings and IPTVSimpleClient settings, and I have an option to ignore the logos in the XMLTV, but apparently can't ignore the ones in the M3U, which means I get my lovely icons for the channels which don't have a server side logo, but not the rest.  Anyone have a fix, or am I missing something obvious?

Thanks in advance.

Because the M3U file you are using contains hard coded station logos embedded along with the stream link, your only option would be to manually edit the file by removing tags related to the logos. This would have to be done every time after an update which makes the task rather tedious.
This is a bit beyond Kodi's scope though.
Have you contacted your provider and see if they have M3U files without the logo tags embedded?
