Hi all.
Today, to export some tv shows or movies in the library from addons (ie Netflix), the only way to proceed (I am correct?) is to creatre .STRM files with a "pluggin://" path.
But, in Kodi, .STRM files are playlists, and can't be resumed. Thus it creates a lack of functionality in the library.
I'd like to sumbit the idea of a new file extension to handle this. (".KPLF" for Kodi PLuggin File ?).
This file extension would be expandable, as a playlist is, but treated as a normal file + a plugin path.
The library would contains resume points / watched status information for it, as for any element of the library, plus it would maintain the same resume points for the "pluggin://" path in the library.
Do you think it is something possible ?
I'm not good enough in C++ to propose a PR myself sorry
But I really think it could be very valuable to Kodi.
