16 times as many pixels as a 4K television and 64 times as many as a regular 1080p high definition TV

Now to find a house to fit it and a bank to loan me the dollars Smile

*added the y to "son" in the title - bry

Sony have an 8K broadcast camera system listed on their broadcast site, and this month's SMPTE Motion Imaging journal has articles on 4320p120, and 4320p240 slow-motion, (aka 8K/120 and 8K/240) production systems and a report on 2160p/100 (aka 4K/100) HLG HDR real-world production of the European athletics.  I think there is still an intention for Tokyo 2020 to be 8K/120, at least in part, with all of it in at least 2160p59.94 (aka 4K).

NHK have both 8K and 4K channels on-air for domestic viewers already - though mainly 59.94Hz progressive.

The Sony 16K screen is probably more a nice architectural signage solution for shopping malls, airports etc. at the moment.
