Can I scrape m3u files
#1
Hi all,

I have an issue with scraping movies into the library. It is the first time using this functionality in Kodi. With the tv shows it is working perfectly. I followed the folder and naming conventions as described. Followed the scraping problems step by step guide but nothing is happening. I have only tried with 2 movies.

here my logfile: https://paste.kodi.tv/taritozaci

Hope somebody can help me out.

You did not enable debug mode in Settings>System Settings>Logging.

It has taken less than 0.1 of a second to scan your Source which indicates they are not set correctly.

Hi Karellen, sorry for later reply. I get a message that I reached maximum file size of 1M (started Kodi again) and can't upload using Kodi LogFileUploader. I have seen that you can select some components to limit the size. Any ideas which components to select? Thanks

You can try to cut your kodi.log in half, and upload the file parts manually to https://paste.kodi.tv or try https://paste.ubuntu.com .
Also restart Kodi first for a fresh/smaller log, and then reproduce the problem(s).

In LibreELEC you can find the log file(s) in /storage/.kodi/temp .

Hopefully you can see the issue with the Movie!

Oh, great...

First 315 lines of Kodi startup, and then some 54,000+ lines of a vpn manager addon constantly whining.

Either disable it or yank the add-on out of your setup, as this is totally unworkable. VPN crap shouldn't be necessary in the first place.

Most of your log are errors from your badly written VPN add-on and it is possible that it is interfering with the scrape. We do not provide support for VPN's.

1. Disable your VPN and try scraping again. If that fails, then
2. Provide a screenshot of the Coco (2017) folder so we can see the contents and
3. Do you have the setting Movies are in separate folders that match the movie title enabled or disabled? https://kodi.wiki/view/Adding_video_sources#Set_Content

Hi Karellen, sorry for late reply. was travelling lately.
I followed your instructions: disabled VPN. re-started Kodi. Run the scraping again but it's not working. For the TV shows it is working perfectly.

I added a screenshot of the mentioned folder. link: https://ibb.co/kKmd9ZY

The settings for "Movies are in seperate folders that match the movie title": I tried both settings.

What is that image supposed to show me? What are the two files?

If you are going to present information, at least make sure it is understandable.

sorry, you are right. I have seen it now that the properties were not visible in the explorer view. I have uploaded a new image where you can see it.

You can even make a painting of it, it still doesn't show us the contents of those files.

You are using NFO Files. Are you aware of that? Something you should have mentioned in your first post as it immediately changes it from a scraper problem to a nfo problem.

How did you create the NFO? Media Manager? You should be asking the developers of the media manager for assistance.

Post the contents of your nfo file to Kodi Paste Site and I will have a look at it.

@Karellen I used it only in Coco for testing purpose as I was not able to scrap movies. I followed the NFO wiki step 2.2 to create the NFO file.

contents of my NFO file: https://paste.kodi.tv/zukilovenu

Some additional information that could be useful in the analysis. In my external HDD I created two folders: TVshows and Movies. The TVshows folder is scraped when added under Videos>files>add videos etc. When I do the same for Movies nothing is happing.
