Is there a way to invoke the 'clean library' function for just a specific source. The normal clean library function will clean all sources, which can take a long time.

I think there is an advancedsettings feature to have kodi clean upon update. If I only scan for new content for a single source, then would the advancedsettings feature then only clean that same source only?

No, there is no way. The Clean Library is a database function that operates on the database as a whole, not individual Sources.
