After activating I wonder what is the HD Audio DSP needed for? Big Grin Everything worked without the DSP!?

Greetings & many thanks in advance!

I'm not entirely sure, to be honest - my Skylake NUC isn't connected to an HD capable audio device (my computer monitor only has stereo output!) so I'm not currently able to test that.

In your thread you say you don't have the HD-Audio passthrough options in the Kodi settings menu, do you have them now with the addition of DSP firmware? Presumably the HD hardware isn't initialising correctly when the DSP firmware is missing.

Also, it shouldn't be necessary to blacklist snd_soc_skl audio hardware any longer as this should now be fixed in kernel 5.6-rc6. For libreelec-9.2 (which uses 5.1.y) we've added a workaround that automatically blacklists snd_soc_skl.

Yes, everything works as expected now. The hd audio passthrough options are all available and are working flawless. Smile I removed the snd_soc_skl module from blacklist and activated the hd Audi DSP in the bios.

The only thing that's not working is the playback of Netflix streams with activated hevc profiles. And I can't figure out why. I don't see any error messages in the debug log, but the playback just won't start. Debug log: https://paste.kodi.tv/koxeboyoli.kodi

Does anyone have an idea why the playback is not working?

Greetings!

Not sure.

I see from your Netflix issue that the add-on maintainer thinks this is a Kodi core issue, which may be correct - @lrusak any thoughts?

A logfile could help, but in this case the latest zip file from the Samba "Logfiles" share might be more useful as it will include all hardware details.

for what it's worth:
I successfully upgrades from ~ #415 to #418 today night on an USB3-Stick.

I would like to mention
a) that after the first stick-Install the "boot mimik" remains . It's what the USB-creator puts on the stick (all modes: install (default selected), run, live, ...) => manual cleanage of /flash/syslinux.cfg
b) that the internal drive is default mounted under /var/media/ => a script with unmount

maybe the OP runs here in trouble somehow ?

Hello.

First of all, huge thanks for all of the work you do with these builds. I regularly use these but sadly don't contribute as much as I would like but since I only use my KODI in a much simpler way than others then usually there's little I can add. However, there is one pretty major issue (to me) which I have recently seen crop up in some other discussions that I hope you can help with.

When using full DVD images (whether ISO or folder) movement between menus has 'stuck' if the movement is from a menu screen with a video playing in the background to a static screen. The menu is still there but the screen does not update to show it. Therefore pressing enter will start to play the feature or episode. This issue is much more prevalent in TV series where the menu option selected is to move to an episode select screen for example, Dr Who DVDs.

However This issue ONLY happens when 'Allow MPEG2 hardware acceleration-VAAPI'  is set to ON in the main player settings menu. With this turned off then the menu operates as usual but then the use of anything like Lanczos3 reults in choppy playback (on my NUC6CAYH especially). Which is a shame as it runs really well with it enabled otherwise.

i have read that it may be an issue that when entering such screens that the menu is set with a framerate of 0. If this helps at all.

I really hope I've managed to shed any light on this issue if it is affecting anyone other than me Smile but i do have a large collection of 100s of isos I have transferred from my disc collection so It would be difficult to rerip every one in a different format.

Many many thanks for your time. I hope anything above is of use.

I don't know what "boot mimik" is but the boot menu "remembers" the last boot mode - a freshly imaged memory stick defaults to installer mode - so if you boot into run mode then the memory stick will continue automatically booting into run mode until another boot mode is entered.

yup, got it already ...
"boot mimik mimic" :=  boot into boot manger => select a mode => wait for the timer count down => boot the selected mode (and set that mode for next boot)

anyway, I was wrong in my comment #903 Confused and had the feel to correct that.
that's all

Ok, a bit of a update, love to be able to send the log file from the system but it will not send, it times out. Will do a bit of more investigation to see if my network is stopping connection to IX.IO web site.

Now the installation does work, but only if I do a fresh install and do no changes to the base install before adding your release. I can also do a proper update if I do a installation reset to fresh install state. This was never a problem before as I have setup many boxes where I have setup profiles and added addons before updating to your releases the last one I did was back around release #0301. If I get bored again this weekend I will play around installing and updating till I find the error point.

Now back to the problem that started all this, all is good until I add a profile or even tell the system to boot to profile page select page. I can enter a profile it works fine log out of profile and try to enter a new profile or even go back to the same profile instant hard lock reset button only option.

log-2020-04-22-07.22.17  As before the only way I can post a log till I figure out what is stopping the upload to IX.IO

@TVmine: Nothing obvious relating to profiles in you kodi logs. Just a suggestion, but it might be a good idea to run Memtest86+ on your machine to rule out any hardware issues that may be causing such weird behaviour.

Hi,

I was testing latest version #424 on my RPi2 with Libereelec to see if I can get Netflix working better.
I only use it at 720p (sorry I set that after the log, but same result anyway) on an old TV so am not asking for miracles.

However while shows play Ok if you (i) do not pause them or (ii) try to go forward by time <enter> or (iii) try to skip recap  - if you try that they stop.
I am using the Matrix version of Netflix Add-on from https://github.com/CastagnaIT/plugin.video.netflix.
(by the way the Section 6 in the first post referring to https://github.com/kodinerds/repo/tree/m...ry.netflix throws an error on that page).
I have not tried the daily build.

I had problems with logfile uploader like the fellow above, apologies. It should be here though, apologies in advance for that.
http://www.filedropper.com/kodi

When I start the show I see an Error on screen that the netflix "streamcontinuitymanager" has been disabled.
It is definitely repeatable. I do not see this error in the log however?

Any help would be appreciated. Even just for someone to say the RPi2 is a bit low on processing power for what I am trying to do... even at 720p.

Cheers

k.
