v19 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 19.0)
#61

(2019-05-06, 22:56)Nekromantik Wrote: There are nightlies at http://test.libreelec.tv. I assume these are same as yours, based on Kodi 19?

Those are official nightlies from LibreELEC master, and LibreELEC master is _currently_ based on Kodi 18.2-rc1 as LibreELEC master does not track Kodi master, as my builds do.

LibreELEC master will update to the latest Kodi master but at a much slower cadence - at this point in the development cycle of Kodi 19, LibreELEC master will only update (bump) the Kodi version as and when it requires it, ie. when OMXPlayer is removed from Kodi (which will require matching changes in LibreELEC) or when Nvidia VDPAU support is removed (ditto).

Testing the LibreELEC OS is more important in the official LE nightlies than testing latest Kodi, whereas with my builds it's more biased towards the latter (testing Kodi, and also the OS). Needless to say, you'll see all of the changes I mentioned above (and more) first in these builds.

Hope this makes sense.
thanks Smile

Hello,
I have one item: Sine end of last year I have the problem that ~once a day I get a black picture if zapping (sound is playing correctly). The black picture is only related to one channel (e.g. watching "Das Erste" and changing to "RTL" will show RTL with black picture, but switching back to "Das Erste" shows a that picture). To get rid of this black picture at the certain channel only a reboot helps (log shows no difference to working channel zap). The comment last year was that it might be a mesa-item and "at some time" a Kodi-developer may have a look to it.
Now I updated to #0504 and the problem was not seen last week, but came back on Thursday updating to #0510. So I searched an item which was present at Kodi 18 and now also in build #0510.
I found: <TexturePacker: Fix memory / resource leak the ugly way (PR:15164, 1 commit, 3 files changed)>
Reverting back to #0509 on Friday did not show the problem the whole weekend.

Do you think this may be the issue, or is it just "fortune" that it worked for a quite long time?

Regards,
  DDuck007

@DDuck007 PR15164 has been included in these builds for months, since #1230, so isn't related to any change of behaviour between #0509 and #0510 - my suspicion is that what you are experiencing is a random and hard to reproduce issue which hasn't gone away.
