Hi Milhouse,

Just was curious if bother you a bit to find out what the state of play is for your libreelec builds and 4k HDR playback? I recently got a new tv and avr that are 4k hdr and wanted to play my movies/tv shows on it that are in that format. Was hoping to use an 8th gen intel nuc.

EDIT: I just came across your raspberry pi builds and earlier tonight I was also reading into the new Raspberry Pi 4b. I saw that the current LibreELEC Alpha thats on the site does 4k (just no HDR). Any luck with your bleeding edge builds? This could be a temp solution I could use and then convert the RP4b to something else down the road. Looking for both HDR and also Dolby Atmos and DTS:X

No, no HDR yet. x86_64 is still waiting for the HDR changes to filter through the kernel (5.3 has HDR support for Intel Gemini Lake and later) and the rest of the stack (mesa, drivers, ffmpeg, etc.) but it's getting closer to finally happening. RPi4 doesn't yet support HDR, and I'm not yet producing Kodi 19 builds for RPi4 as there's lots of work still to be done (including adding HDR support).
