Anyone here using a zidoo z9s and have added the media thru smb share?

For some reason I can't do that.
It just says wrong credentials.

The share is on a synology nas with smb2 minimum and smb3 as maximum set.

I've got no issues adding this share anywhere else. (From other devices).

Same thing happens when trying to add it in Home theater 2.

The Zidoo Z9S should accept SMB 2, but with my Synology NAS I have to activate SMB1 as minimum to make SMB-shares work for the Zidoo Z9S. 
Maybe somebody knows why SMB2 does not work with a Synology NAS? I read lots of messages in forums, but this should be an old problem?

It was the same for me. But I've since sold my zidoo so I have no issues anymore.

This isn't Kodi related... but, Z9S 'supposedly' added SMB3 support with the most recent firmwares, believe since mid May. I'm still on SMB1 on my Synology, but reading SMB3 is noticeably faster.

Just use Kodi Zeroconf if you have a Synology NAS that in all likelyhood has Bonjour Networking protocols installed:

Also use NFS file sharing instead of SMB.

Then in Kodi when adding video content you do:

Videos > Files > Add Videos > Browse > Zeroconf Browser
