I have this AV pack by monster: http://www.amazon.com/Monster-5064429646...i_-2_1_tit.
I'm surprised this doesn't have an optical output for the audio. I'm guessing that it is this piece that i need which connects to a small 2.5mm output on connector:

Is this what i need? Does anyone know where i can just get the connector (i dont need the optical cable)? Or is there another alternative?

I just bought a connector set from Green Doors on Ebay:

It's 'gold' plated and includes an optical connection and cable. And it only cost 5 pounds including delivery.

thanks for the replies. Does that connector have some type of connection for HD, such as component or hdmi?
And does it have the female optical/toslink out or is the optical cable directly connected to the xbox? Because i dont want to run the xbox cable directly to my sound card, rather just connect the optical cable of my sound card to the xbox.
And the above one is 60 bones...too much Blush

They go for about 20 on ebay. Your right, the ones like the one in the first post that work for about a week are a lot cheaper. Just trying to let you benefit from the experience of someone who has bought several of each. Don't want you to waste your money like I did. Good luck.
