Installation of Kodi on Fedora 30
#1
I followed the instructions as outlined on this page: https://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Install_Ko...n_packages

Not a problem until I realized that I need DVD support. Apparently, the rpm fusion packages does not include the DVD modules compiled in. So I attempted to compile in accordance to the instructions. Unfortunately as I executed the instructions, I got errors such as file location does not exist or cannot patch file, etc. Suffice to say I was not able to compile the software on my own given the instructions outlined on the online installation documentation and I don't have the level of knowledge to trouble shoot on my own; I am able to follow COMPLETE instructions and have been able to successfully install software in the past. I am not a developer and have no interest in being one. So my question, is there a more concise instructions on compilation of the software applicable to Fedora 30? Are there other repositories that may already be properly compiled with full DVD support?

Thanks.

On fedora 30 it's possible to install kodi 18.3 as a flatpak. See page "https://flathub.org/apps/details/tv.kodi.Kodi". It should also be available in Software.
My installed version is compiled 30/6 and works very well. I also managed to install tvheadend.
