I installed ComSkip two years ago but it never worked with Kodi.
I read somewhere that the Kodi  Nextpvr plugin doesn't support it.
However, recently when I upgraded to 64 Bit Kodi !8.2 I noticed that Kodi took longer to skip between channels and even buffered during live TV.
System monitoring showed plenty of resources still available.
Something else also occurred, Kodi started skipping commercials when playing back  TV recordings.
But only when I played recordings of "The Late Show with Steven Colbert".

My Question is why?
And what can I do so it skips commercials on all recordings ?

EDL support for comskip was added in v18 for PVR addons.  Make sure your recording has a valid edl file for it to work.  Additional support requires debug Kodi logs.

Thanks for the relply.  Last night i upgraded my version of Comskip before trying to figure out why it was partially working.  However , the upgrade wont run, so i'll have deal with that issue first
