On the Settings->Devices screen in NextPVR, are the tuners you've setup listed as ATSC/QAM or HDHR? (you could have used either)

Ah I see what you mean. I have it set to HDHR. I posted these logs if this is helpful. Thank you!

Can you supply full set of zipped NextPVR logs?

Realistically, your fastest channel changes would probably come from using NextPVR v5, with the ATSC/QAM device options (instead of the HDHR option), and ticking the "Keep digital tuners primed" option.

I don't have a way to send a zip file. Unless you want me to email you?  I could try NextPVR v5 is that a beta?  I thought I was running the latest version.

You can either unzip and copy and paste to this site... Kodi Paste Site

Or upload the zip file to https://uploadfiles.io/

First option is preferable, easier access. In both cases copy the address from the address bar once uploaded and paste here.

Most NextPVR users use the NextPVR forums for uploading zip files.

v5 is in public beta for a few weeks now https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=344722.  I have primarily been testing from an intel based NAS and from an odroid N2.

You have timeshifting on which will cause a little delay but those look pretty good to me.  I am guessing any delay is in Kodi opening the demuxer.

Yeah, there is virtually no delay in NextPVR. I'm pretty sure the issue is on the Kodi side. Thanks for looking!  I guess I'll wait for a stable V5 and then try then.  In V5 is that were I can change to QAM from HDHR?

Thanks,
Ben

I did some testing with an HDHR and channel switching in v5 real time mode actually takes about  500ms more then starting live tv because of the minor delay needed to stop the playing stream.

However the real difference between your log and mine is it is taking you around 4 seconds just to create the demuxer that starts playback and here is it around 500ms.  I am not sure how much of that is due to timeshift mode, but it would be noticable and outside the control of the addon.
