Hi,
i have little problem ...

My movie folder works correctly on windows and all movies are correctly recognized. But on Nvidia shield tv box missing some movies. Settings is same for both platforms, fresh install, same user account on SMB device, all folders are visible on shileld etc ... 

My settings:

• Folder contains movies
  
• The movide database 
  
• Movies are in separate folders that match the movie title which is located
  

nothing special .... folder names are ok but some filenames in folder not match folder name and i think there is problem ... but why? when with same settings it works absolutly correctly on my PC

I tshoot this weird for few days and I am lost already read Naming_video_files/Movies (wiki)

If you have the above setting enabled, then Kodi ignores the filenames, so the filenames are not the problem as you stated.

I think your problem may be item 1d here... https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=336969 If that does not work, then provide the information requested in section 2.

Settings>Media Settings>Videos and check the option Use video tags is disabled

I will reset my nvidia shield to total defaults becaouse nothing interesting in logs ... and try it again and i provide logs .... so please dont close this thread i will provide complete logs

what is interesting ... when i count all ERROR: GetDirectory - Error getting  .... i thing it is exact number of missing movies... this is strange

That does not really help. The errors are expected. It is why they are happening that is shown in a proper and complete log.

I using kodi from my first box Minix X5 (year 2013), then chameleon crap 32xx chpset and then S905 with libreelec openelec and also power beast nvidia shield tv (2015) and never have these problems. I sthil think it can be some smb cache or something realy weird ... but we will see from complete logs.

nothing missing i am just noob on my pc disable collections ... but still this is problem ...

The.Man.from.U.N.C.L.E.2015 fixed by nfo files ... omg ... but i learn something new so thank you for you pattience

Sorry, I am lost. Did you solve it or are you still having problems? What did you fix with nfo files?

Anyway, if you want help, then provide the debug log, or I will move on to other posts.

can be closed, my problem was enabled movie collections so it showed different numbers of movies ...  but I learned tshoot movie recognition and how to make nfo files for thies masterpiece in name: The.Man.from.U.N.C.L.E.2015
