Ok, one step at a time. First let’s see what version you have.

Can you visit this URL in a browser?

There is no German genre file. If we find that you have genre ids embedded in your EPG then we can start to figure that out. Baby steps

Ok, in order to use autotimers and check for any genre info you would need to be on openwebif 1.3.5. Your current version is 1.2.5. I'm not sure where you would request a later version of openwebif.

Do you install .deb or .ipk packages?

Once you get on the right version of openwebif you can put this in a browser to check if genreids are available:

http://<your-ip>:<your-openwebifport>/web/epgservice?sRef=<sref-of-a-channel>

An example that would work for me would be:

http://192.168.1.201:80/web/epgservice?s...0000:0:0:0:

But you need at least version 1.3.5 of openwebif for genreids and at least version 1.3.0 for autotimers.

Thanks again phunkyfish for all your help. Well, it was hard to find a version in the internet of OpenWebif which is able to install on a Dreambox (not a clone) on a OE 2.2. because the hardware is not able to run a newer release of the OS.
All other versions are requiring a lot of other python packages, which I couldn't install. So if HAVE TO install *.ipk packages over opkg. *.deb versions are impossible to install.

BTW: Thanks for the link but an internal IP address wouldn't work ;-)

Have installed your 3.27.0-Leia file and tried to setup a timer over the EPG but got the same message: Timer is not supported. Do I'm doing something wrong?

You can’t install the addon from zip as it binary. You need to wait for it to become available from the addon update repos which takes about 24 hours.

You could always install openPli: https://openpli.org/download/dreambox/DM8000

They still build new releases for your STB Wink that would you the latest of everything but you would need to setup your box again, maybe worth it run something that was compiled this year!

O.K. Learned a lot about all these things as well that I cannot simply install a Zip file. No problem, will wait until the next release will be available. And yes, when I'm back in Germany I will openPli give try. Maybe this flash will support openWebif in the latest version.
Thanks again and have a great weekend.

Yes, openpli definitely support the latest version and if not you can always install it manually. OpenPli is the only image that still supports the DM8000 which is handy for you Wink
