Been reading the thread regarding picking the right Kodi box and still somewhat unsure if the android boxes can work with auto adjust frame rate.

Currently looking at the below , which is best:

X96 Max
M8S Pro L
Fire TV 3 ( pendant design )

Which of these is the best ? Or is there better ?

Based in UK and noticed some of the ones mentioned before are hard to get here. Also like to keep cost below £80

Anything that can have LibreELEC installed is a safer bet. But if you have cash to spare, try Vero 4k+. The 5 year software update will make up for the cost. :-)

Mainstream Android Kodi Leia Auto Frame Rate switching devices:

- Xiaomi Mi Boxes
- MINIX U9
- WeTek Play2 (discontinued)
- Amazon FireTV Stick 4K

Auto Frame Rate Switching does not work with Android Kodi Leia on cheap Android devices.

The best bang for the buck currently resides with the DIY - Gigabit LAN equipped, USB3, AMLogic S905X2 devices running CoreELEC Kodi Leia.

Even faster S905X3 chipset devices are just being released (click)

With CE will get auto switching everything, 4K HDR & HD audio:

Also recommended is a Wireless remote with it’s own USB RF receiver dongle. Some of the Beelink devices have those, otherwise the MINIX A2 lite with it’s mini keyboard is a real beauty.

I noticed you have fire stick 4k in that list but not the fire TV 3rd gen? Is the fire TV 3rd gen a definite no go ?
