Unhide the System Menu

I accidentally hid the system menu.  I'm guess there is a config file somewhere that I can edit and show the system menu again.  Please pass on that information.

Thank you.

Try the guisettings.xml file. Or, if Confluence has its own addon settings now, in the userdata/addon_data/skin.confluence/settings.xml file.

Thanks for the info.   I guess I was looking in the wrong directory myself.  That was why I couldn't find a settings config file.

Next question, how does a person stop mediacenter?  I make the change in the settings.xml file, reboot, but the setting gets changed back. In the post that you provided, the person indicated they had the same issue, but had to stop mediacenter before the change would stay.  How can I stop mediacenter?

Thanks

Daryl

By "mediacenter" do you mean Kodi? If not, I don't know what mediacenter is. Otherwise read Section 2- Power Settings... https://kodi.wiki/view/Basic_controls

He does.  It's from post #7 in the thread you linked:
"FYI I had to stop mediacenter before my edits to settings.xml would persist"

@ rosede:  You can either stop kodi or switch to another skin before making your changes.  As long as confluence isn't the active skin it will work.

I figured out that I needed to stop kodi.  That resolved the issue.

Thank you to everyone for your help.  I'm able to move forward once again.
