I'm currently building some add-ons for my carpc. More specifically, this is an addon for Navit (carnavigation)
platform: Raspberry Pi 3
OS: Raspian Stretch
Kodi: Leia

Is it possible to make the background transparent to see the surface of the OS?

The idea is that I start Navit and Kodi at the same time and make Navit visible via a "window". The control of Navit is then via Skin Buttons-> my addon -> DBus

Has this ever been tested?
I myself can not test it at the moment, because I can not get my Pi.

I am looking for a similar solution as well. Can you please tell me if you were able to achieve it? I tried changing several XML files but no help.
