Video Stacking & Scraping Data
#1
I have been trying to get stacking working for a few hours now.

I have Ben-Hur (1959) disc1.iso and disc2 as well.
They are both in a directory called Ben-Hur (1959)

With a scrape, they came in as a single library entry, however even with "Combine split video items" enabled, after the end of disc 1, it just returns to disc 1 menu.

I thought it might be the iso file format, so changed them to the VIDEO_TS rip instead.

Made sure I followed this https://kodi.wiki/view/Naming_video_files/Movies

so i have:

Source\Ben-Hur (1959) dvd1
   AUDIO_TS\
   VIDEO_TS\
Source\Ben-Hur (1959) dvd2
   AUDIO_TS\
   VIDEO_TS\

Exactly like the naming instructions.

On scrape, it found two movies called "video"
The log is here: https://paste.kodi.tv/yenisobido.kodi

One doing a refresh from the info page, it found the correct title
However then I have two Ben-Hur films.

Just can't get this to do what it's supposed to...

It won't scrape, and it won't combine into one library entry, and they won't play one after the other...

I have come to the end of what I can try to do, any ideas?

Are all your scraping addons updated?

BTW, we always prefer a full kodi.log file, not a snippet or abbreviated version. Just in case there are other bugs at work too.

OK, so I removed everything, cleaned library, then emptied the log file, then did reboot and scrape, so you have the full "from power on" log.

This is a brand new install yesterday, and everything is updated.

Please note that in order to test this with a small set of movies, the actual source is: movies:nfs://192.168.1.206/volume3/movies3/Ben Hur (1959)/

Hence it really is:

Source\Ben-Hur (1959) dvd1

Movie Stacking for ISO's, DVD and Bluray folders is currently broken. It only works with single file setups. ie
Movie Disk1.mkv
Movie Disk2.mkv

See here... https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues/16109

If you need to stack, then convert to single file. While you are at it you might as well stitch the two parts together and do away with stacking.

Right, well the wiki really ought to be updated, otherwise people like me are spending hours and hours trying to get it to work as per instructions, for nothing :-(

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound ungrateful.  The problem is that people always say RTFM, and then you find that you've wasted 4 hours on something that simply doesn't work, contrary to the documentation.... It's very frustrating.

Thanks ;-)

No problems. I could hear the frustration and you are correct, there should have been a comment on the wiki which I have added since your post. Smile
