Does Kodi have support for DVB Teletext subtitle from tvheadend?
#1
Hi
I have see some old thread but then It was not possible what I understand.
I use tvheadend to recording my tv show that I like to watch and right now I have to do this to watch it with subtitle

1. Download the TS file
2. Run my script that extract the subtitles from the TSConfused files with TS-doctor and then use mkvmerge to join the TS file and it subtitle to one MKV file and after that upload to the server.

It works nice but I was hopping I do not need to do that anymore and just go the the tvheadend and watch a show with subtitle.
Use now: Plex
Testing: Kodi
Running: Xiaomi Mi Box S 4K

Why not record direct to mkv in Tvheadend?

Works fine for me with both dvb and teletext subs

Last time I checked .mkv recordings in TV Headend don't play nice with channels that dynamically switch between AC3 2.0 and 5.1 (Freesat HD in the UK) or AAC 2.0 and 5.1 (Freeview HD in the UK) audio. (That's certainly the reason I don't make recordings in MKV in TV Headend)
