TheMovieDB scraper stopped working

TheMOvieDB has two sections to their site - MOvies and TV Shows.

It is not immediately noticeable which is which unless you are familiar with the title or you look at the address bar and notice whether it links to \movies\ or \tv\

So what you think is a movie, could be a tv show or vice versa. Scroll the page a bit, and if you see a Seasons list, then it is TV Shows.
Oh brilliant, thank you for letting me know Smile

Yes, I noticed that. They have a menu to the left with:
TV Shows
Movies
People
Etc..

When I do a search for the 1990 version 'stephen kings it', it comes up as both. Click on Movie on that side list and it's a movie, click on tv show and it's a tv show too
https://www.themoviedb.org/search/movie?...anguage=en
https://www.themoviedb.org/search/tv?que...anguage=en

The Stephen King mini-series' titles used to just come up with Movie results with nothing under TV for them at all going back a couple of years or so, then they started switching them to TV Series as well as Movies. I just put them all in as TV Shows now, since they were miniseries before becoming 'films' when they were released to disc and marketed as such. Certainly interesting Smile

The way mini-series are handled in TMDB changed in early 2018. They used to be allowed in the movie section, but were removed and are only allowed in the TV section. I guess they still have left overs that have not been cleared out.

Ah, so that's why. I did wonder, I think I'm a member over there, I could probably report the ones I know of so they know Smile

Oh that's great, just finished renaming my folders back too for the Universes. I'll check for an update in a bit and test those out.

Just an update,

Movies
--------
'Stargate Origins: Catherine' - is now classed as TV and not classed as a movie.

Other than that, all movies seem to have scanned fine.. apart from:
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 it scraped as the first part also.

Hercules (2014) -Dwayne Johnson- Scanned as a different Hercules (2014) -Animated crap-

The Hitcher (1986) scanned as the remake.

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League - Gotham City Breakout (2016) - Scanned as Lego Ghostbusters.

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League: Cosmic Clash (2016) - Scanned as Lego Ghostbusters as well.

The Lost City of Z scanned as some foreign rubish.

Taken scanned as Miss Taken.

Stones (2016) - Scanned as Prescious Stones, but scanned fine last time. (A film about an alcoholic musician)

The Punisher (1989) Scanned as the remake

Taken 3 Scanned as Taken Away

TV
--------
True Blood Scanned as 'Cardinal'?

'Stephen King's It' is scanning as 'Kingdom Hospital' - The only explanation that I can think of is that this is now being classed as a movie again rather than a miniseries.

'True Blood' - is scraping as 'Cardinal' for some reason. Guessing it's something to do with TheMovieDB scrape as when I scraped this before a fresh install I used the TVdB one.

Very strange, expecially as I done a complete fresh install.

RE: Universes.. work great on my pc test run! What a great feature. I'll set more up tomorrow, then get them done on the shield too. Perfect for MCU and given me ideas for other things too. I couldn't get the items on the menu in Estury, but managed fine in Nox Silvo.. Not my usual skin, but I presume I can get them working in other skins too.

..and it's almost 4am so I best try and sleep.

Another member has also reported ongoing issues. My response is here... https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2885450

The changes made are for Movies only. TV Shows is a different scraper (but weirdly named the same, so not easy to realise they are different). I am pretty sure it is the same problem, so the tv show scraper will need an update also.

@olympia was not the original developer of the TV Show scraper, but he might be able to fix. Not sure. But the Parsing NFO File is an option.

I had a Stargate Marathon a couple months back which started with Stargate Origins- not hard to see why it was cancelled Wink

Yes, other skins are more flexible and new menu items can be created. Estuary is purposefully simple and limited. But you can use Favourites (wiki) for easy access while using Estuary.

I am closing this thread. The update is out since yesterday evening and probably working mostly as before. For any outstanding issue, please open a new thread.
