I am using Kodi 18.4 for Android 9 and when I play some video to my Smart TV (through the wifi connection) the sound volume jumps to maximum 100 every time.

Is there a setting to change this behaviour or is it a bug?

Also I have the same issue in the windows version.

Hello.

You can set an default volume for every media.
On the player controls (timeline popup) head to settings (gear icon) -> audio settings -> lower the volume and choose the last menu entry "set for every media".
This should work (it did in windows for me).

Sadly i have an similar issue -> when i'll change the tv volume (on the infrared remote) the tv set changes the volume accordingly,
but Kodi always sets the volume to a maxium of 100% (the kodi volume OSD pops up).
But i will open a new issue for that.
