smb share work but I can't play video
#1
Hi everybody,

I'm stuck into a strange problem : Before I replace my hard drive all worked perfectly.
I reshare my folder, but now it doesn't work.
All my files are recognized (and the scraper is ok) but I can't play videos anymore.
The loading symbol appears, and go out and that's all.
How can I resolve this problem ?
My kodi says : Read Timeout.
If you need any other questions, please let me in.

Thanks a lot.

To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

The instructions are here... debug log (wiki)

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.
4.Upload the log to Kodi Paste Site manually or use the Kodi Logfile Uploader. (wiki) With either method post the link to the log back here.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file (wiki)

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.

Note: Full logs only. No partial or redacted logs
Do NOT post your logs directly into the forum. Use the Kodi Paste Site. Post the link to your pasted log in the forum

You still have banned add-ons installed. See the orange items here: https://paste.kodi.tv/zuqefobema.kodi
Stop with the banned add-ons bullshit and don't waste our time again.
Last chance.

I have an osmc Vero 4k+ but I don't have an answer.  Sorry.

I'm curious if you got a Windows 10 update in the last week to version 1930/os build 18362.356?  Maybe a coincidence?

My background:  I don't use samba to play videos/music but my videos/music start 'life' on my Win10 computer and I used samba sharing to transfer them to the vero 4k+ (with external hard drive) quite successfully until a week ago.  In the last week (after the win10 update), it is very slow.  It's not a deal-breaker for me since I don't transfer many files from my win10 computer to my vero4k+.

I hope I can share links but the osmc forum is https://discourse.osmc.tv if you think it might be osmc-related.

Thanks for your answer but unfornately no, I have tested with another computer with windows 10 version 1903 (like me) and it's worked perfectly. I really think it's about my wired connection, because in Wifi it's ok for all my computers.
