XBMC LiRC Mapping Issue
#1
I am running XBMC on Ubuntu 8.04 and even though all keys seem to be working on a ATI Remote Wonder remote through LIRC, I can't seem to find a way to have the OK key mapped into XBMC.

I tried modifying the Lircmap.xml file and under "mceusb" without luck, now I wonder if I should modify the Keymap.xml instead. However, not sure that to modify.

Any help is appreciated.

lircmap IIRC translates things in your lirc config for your mouse (read up on configuring lirc) to button names defined in lircmap. these button names in turn are assigned to XBMC functions in keymap.

It seems redundant, and probably is... but this way it allows local keys to be a constant value in Keymap...

Confusing, I know. Learn the experimentation, is all I can say.

Cool, i'll give it a try and post the results. That button seems to be the last one to map.

If you can't find the lircd.conf file with the button names in it then you could also run irw - once that's running, press the button and it should show it's mapped name on the terminal you're running it on.
