I noticed this does not invoke the volume bar dialog the way F8 does. Shouldn't it? Seems to me if a skinner has provisioned a mute indicator it should display irrespective of how volume is muted.

Weirder still is what happens when one mixes key-press and function call. A dialog that won't dismiss itself often results.

Thanks for the tip on the action method. Will check it out.
