can someone confirm if 3840x2160 YCbCr 4:2:0 10-bit Rec. 2020 is optimal video output setting for Shield?
Mine's set to this -
code:3840x2160 59.940 Hz
YUV 422 12-bit Rec. 709
Dolby Vision and HDR10 Ready
with 'Match content colour space' enabled.
From what i could read Rec. 709 is not applicable to UHD / HDR which should be Rec. 2002, and 12-bit is not much better than 10-bit. Also, 10-bit is mainstream for UHD and the step between 8-bit to 10-bit is much more significant than 10-bit to 12-bit.
Further YUV is analog and YCbCr is digital which should be more applicable to UHD / HDR.
Any reason why you chose those settings. What is the brand/make of your TV?
I'm using Samsung JU7100 series TV which supports UHD 4K and i',m looking for optimal matching setting output for the 2019 Shield
