Beta Metadata Editor - Update library + .nfo informations
Hello all,

I am still getting an error even though I have made the changes. However, I also have Emby Next Gen Addon running. Has anyone else installed it and can report that it works or help me with the error?

Hi There,
Matrix Fine, but for Nexus, we're a no go Houston.

Just replace helper.py with this in your appdata or portable kodi location "\addons\script.metadata.editor\resources\lib" until an official fix comes out.
Or search for it and download it on Kodinerds Repo, like _BJ1 wrote.

Ah, Thanks for that Albinator, Love me that Metadata Editor.

When I start Kodi, I get a Metadata editor error.

Here is the log: https://paste.kodi.tv/onetolujoj.kodi

This happens on my "production" system, but not on my test configuration on my laptop.
I have not (yet) found a relevant difference between the two systems.

TIA,

Bart

@BartZorn

I've merged you into the correct thread.

Reading the last few posts, it looks like the addon does not work too well in v20

No problem at all with "my" version, see above.

Yes, replacing helper.py did the trick for me too.

Thanks!

This takes me to script.database.cleaner not the Metadata Editor.
Do you have another link? Or can you PR your changes so they are merged into the repo?

Ouch. Six months in and you're the only one who noticed or cared... link corrected.

Kodi 21.0 Omega, any idea?

Hello, hopefully I am in the right area for this post...

My question is about medadata editor and how its nfo is/is not written.
I am using kodi 18.9, titan mod vanilla skin, and downloaded medadata editor from the kodi repository (I think it was vers 2.1?). (I tried the 3.0 via zip, but I get an install error.)
All my scraping is done using TMM on my computer, then in kodi (on my TV box) I tell it to only scrape local info... all movies are in separate folders

When using medadata editor in kodi, any changes I make are seen by kodi fine, but when I scan my HDD again using TMM, TMM does not see any of the changes I made in medadata editor.
It seems the nfo file itself is not being written to. I can not figure out what I am doing wrong. I tried changing the title and also the movie set (and a few other fields). These changes work fine in kodi but are not seen in TMM.
Experimenting, I tried also the 'update nfo' option after making any changes, but TMM still does not see the changes

Thanks.. if you need any more info just ask..

Hello, I have a feature request for this very Handy Add ON.
When we click on Metadata Editor, Then Edit, we can edit everything we need. However then, we have to escape then open the editor again and click on update .nfo to save the info to the Medias nfo file.
It would be great if we are in the editor and have made our changes, a tab to click "Update .NFO and Exit"
Saving having to escape the open metadata editor and selecting update .nfo.
Hope you can implement this in the future if possible.
Thanks In Advance
Oz
