Try it for yourself..
Only mention I remember: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues/1889...-752788833

I can confirm it’s working on my Sony x900h and also working on Nvidia shield tv (standard).

Is there a reason why there is no modified Kodi 18.9 with dv support?
If you search this thread @sk83 has shared multiple modified Kodi 18.9 DV versions.

Updated up to today 17/01/2021 (DD/MM/YYYY)

64 bits version (Kodi19DV-RC1-64bits.apk)
https://mega.nz/file/SIMzXQzC#3twHreYliO...5Rr5rsET_w

32bits version (Kodi19DV-RC1-32bits.apk)
https://mega.nz/file/TIknHQ6Y#XPuJ4XLIh5...Ym3vkWBcbw

Dolby Vision code is exactly the same. No updates. No changes.

I'm building using my git here:

Branch: updated
Hi, I installed your apk on my Shield pro, next to my existing Matrix RC installation.
I start the branch, browse to my files and click play and I get the exo player screen advising playback failed - is there some thing else that needs setting other than installing the apk?

The files I have tested are Profile 7 FEL and MEL titles that work on Plex and Z9X.

Sorry if there is something obvious I am missing.

Kodi has nothing to do with Exoplayer.

Hi, ignore me, when I copied my sources and advanced settings folder I accidentally copied a player core.xml file from when we was trying get Kodi to use exoplayer.
The Matrix popped on to Dolby Vision straight away, The Felliwship of the ring just boots me back to selection screen.

Thanks will continue my tests.

Here's a build for both MP4/MKV playback for armeabi-v7a devices (FireTV Stick 4K, maybe others?): https://mega.nz/file/9cEHHSRB#WswI51WR5L...52xVqsYTMs

Combined PRs https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/18965 and https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/19099
Installs as the same package as fandangos' build.
Built from this branch: https://github.com/quietvoid/xbmc/tree/d...oska_build

Looking for feedback if it fixes issues with Sony TVs especially (at least if they're 32 bit, I don't know).

I think we should consolidate all beta builds with the latest changes.
I'll compile matrix 32 and 64 bits, with previews changes and your changes and it would be a good idea do the same with Leia 18.9 32 and 64 bits.

Can you take care of Leia?

When we have all 4 builds, let's start a release thread to compile all links and leave discussions in this thread.

Probably, I still don't know how to correctly build release APKs though.
They always end up as debug even though the depends are built for release.
What about binary addons? I've only added inputstream.adaptive to mine. They add a lot of weight.
Build as debug, and leave everything as default.
The end user can delete or disable addons.

This is what I do here.
Not to overcomplicate something that is already complicated LoL

Sorry , it can get clogged up here, seen a lot of threads over the past days/weeks about this. Heads still spinning, gonna try to search for it, probably a good idea what @fandango suggested...

Anyway, I haven't had any trouble the last weeks with any of the builds we tested. Two things to consider:
- I've not watched any profile 7 content, only profile 8
- I've set minimum SMB version to 3. This seems to have improved network speeds an responsiveness a bit.

18.9 build

Have you added this commit?
https://github.com/fandangos/Kodi-HDR-Ed...00a29R1382

Line 1382 is the function stoping playback before it hangs/crashes.

No, that one escaped me. Here's an updated build with this fix implemented:

I already have tried this one, but it’s 64b... need a 32b version...
Made a new thread to consolidate all the information that gets lost in here, including the new builds:

You mean playing DV content that was ripped from bluray? Becasue a bluray player shouldn't have issues if it supports DV and if your TV supports them. Or did you mean if you rip the bluray and try to play the file via kodi?
No, I meant specifically the issue some people report that the Shield does not properly decode the DV with the latest profile, or something like that. It plays and all but supposedly missing some info.
This thread is now being close.

All discussion of the Dolby Vision Android builds should take place on thread Release - Kodi Android build with support for Dolby Vision MKV
