Does Ubuntu 19.10 support HDR/10-bit on AMD APU's?
#1
Is anyone successfully watching 4k/HDR content under Linux with AMD hardware at present?  I'm using a Ryzen 2400G with Ubuntu 19.10.  My projector says the signal is 8 bit, though in the past (Ubuntu 17.10 I think) it used to say 10 bit.

I'm looking at investing in a 4K drive soon, but if the support isn't there yet, I'll probably just wait.

With HDR output (no one). With ToneMapping to BT709 probably more.

HDR output on Linux (with the TV signalling HDR enabled) is not implemented on Linux.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Fritsch, do you have any inside info on how HDR on Linux (Intel specifically) is progressing that you could share with us mere mortals?
