I got advancedsettings.xml in location /Users/<your_user_name>/Library/Application Support/Kodi/userdata/
but the kodi application is not reading the file

the only setting I got is to enable always on top

<advancedsettings>
    <alwaysontop>yes</alwaysontop>
</advancedsettings>

Why is kodi not applying the setting in that xml file?

i'm not familiar with the option, but according to the wiki that setting is only valid on Windows.

anyway to get it to be always on top for MacOS?
