PVR Manager starting up 0% - stuck
#1
Hi,

I've read a few threads about problems like mine, but none of them helped, so I turn to you for help:

I installed Kodi on 3 platforms to use my vu+solo 2, but none of it works.
I install the appropriate addon, configure it with my STB's IP etc, but when I start TV service I see nothing but : PVR Manager starting up 0% and it doesn't go ahead. The kodi doesn't freeze, I can log out but no sign of working.

I have checked it on Windows 10, Android and Puppy linux...

The open webif works well on any of my devices, I can stream channels on these platform, but not got a single channel list...

I checked the kodi.log and the time I try to startd TV service these rows are repeated:

2019-12-17 15:09:10.860 T:15164   ERROR: CCurlFile::Open failed with code 401 for http://192.168.0.106:80/web/currenttime:
2019-12-17 15:09:21.403 T:15164   ERROR: CCurlFile::FillBuffer - Failed: HTTP returned error 401

In my browser I can open that link, I got the actual (right) time

<e2currenttime> 15:52:00 </e2currenttime>

On android and linux I not yet checked the kodi.log, but I will soon (it's more complicated than in windows)

Can somebody help me, what is the problem?

thx!

Your STB is blocking connections. I don’t know why. Are you running a recent image. Have you modified the network settings on your device in any way?

Hi!

I suppose too, that the problem with my STB is...but to be honest I'm not pro in these settings and recently I havent made changes in network settings, or at least not at will.. perhaps I should ask for help at VTI forum?

and the strange thing is that openwebif works flawlessly on any on my devices. Or is it independant from the way kodi pvr works?

Can you do a curl on the Linux machine that is running kodi for the current time URL and see of its returns ok?

of course

https://paste.kodi.tv/toyotuwuzo

here you can see what I got back. I dont know what does 'curl' and I dont know the syntax, but my STB asks for admin user id with webif connection, and with this command I dont know if I have to give my user name or not...

additional info, yesterday I upgraded my STB's image to the newest VTI 14.05 image, that didn't help...

should I try to switch off user authentication in my STB settings? ages ago I played with the possibility to stream channels, and reach my stb from external networks, and I turned it on, It works well with openwebif both from inside my home network and outside (eg. from my mobile phone on 4g), I open the url, give my user ID and PW and openwebif works without any problem..

Yes, switch off authentication and try it in case that's the cause.

l.o.l. that was it... as soon as i switched off in openwebif http authentication it started to work. I dont understand whats the relation (as I gave in the user in pvr plugin), but it works now!

thank you guys!
