Still no contribution? No one is working on it. No one has time. Why don't you provide the fix? You have the hardware and everything else is Open-Source isn't it?
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

I guess not everyone is developer. If I knew how to fix I would have done it right away.
Still postponing upgrading my cellphone to Android 10; stucked with Android pie. Only because of Kodi is not working with my live tv m3u8 addon. 😕😕😕

So this is a very serious issue. It basically renders Kodi for Android not exactly Kodi any longer. I know that this is a fairly new issue for the few who who have a newer phone, but in time this is going to affect all current Android devices. So I believe it's not a matter of if this issue can be resolved, but rather when it will be resolved for the sake of Kodi, developers and users.

With that being said I am by no means a developer, but I have a little understanding of how things work and can figure out things with the right guidance, with that said, how can I assist in finding the solution to this issue. We can't let Android Kodi continue to lag behind.

Fritsch,

How can we help? What are some things you can think of that could be affecting this that we (Android 10 users) might try to get more in depth information and maybe some processes or references. We all won't this to work the way it's supposed to, let's come together.

And for anyone else trying to work on this, any information that you have or ideas you may be exploring could probably be shared with the community so this can be resolved quicker.

We currently discuss a 18.6.1 for android only.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
