Would external epg id be an integer in your case? If that’s the options then it would just be a placeholder in the catchup url format string.
An integer id as attribute of the program element or as a seperate element in the xmltv source will be fine.
If then the id placeholder of the format specifiers in default mode can be placed anywhere in the stream url, it's perfect.

hi
@phunkyfish

your configuration works fine
say catchup channel selection from before 6 hours
with a good setting epg often scrolls the channel about 20 to 40 minutes too far or vice versa
Code:
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:0 id="3" group-title="Popular" catchup-source="https://my.TV.com/play/hls-apple-s4-3-XX.m3u8?utc={utc}&lutc={lutc}" catchup-days="3" tvg-id="CH.NAME" tvg-name="CH.NAME" tvg-logo="http://omg.com/logo/3.png",CH.NAME
https://my.TV.com/play/hls-apple-s4-3-XX.m3u8

one more problem
settings/pvr@&live tv/general/clear data
&
settings/pvr@&live tv/guide/clear data

suspended kodi , I also left on hold and waited about 10 minutes, it did nothing, I had to kill the kodi process

if you still want to see my steaming url
let me know I will send you some stream

@Atamans do you mean of you try to open a programme from the EPG it starts 20-40 minutes too early/late? Or is the problem just when seeking?

Let's concentrate on the 20/40 mins problem first and we can look into the suspension issue after. If you this site you should be able to convert the timestamps from your URL from the log to check them: https://www.epochconverter.com/

If they don't match the EPG then we need to figure out why.

ok my friend i did a small rebuild my epg with this time
https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/timezone/utc

I set the time offset to 0
I deleted Epg12.db & TV36.db again
now everything seems to function properly

the problem with kodi freezing during cleaning has also disappeared

everything works fine now, the worst thing is that each url with access to the archive must be processed manually
but it is a one-time job and  can spend these over a dozen minutes

ok windows with headaches now it's time for LibreELEC

thanks again for you great job!

You didn’t supply any links to a post. Please do as I’d be interested in reading them. Maybe there are some issues I can help with.

Hi guys, I'm trying this out but it seems that my iptv provider (wesopro) does not put these catch up information in there m3u file. But they have there own android app for there services with support for catchup tv.. Anyone an idea about how to add it to kodi? Or any suggestion for a good iptv provider with support for catch up tv in kodi?

I would just contact their support and enquire on how you can access a catchup stream if not using the android app. Usually they will give you a URL format that you can set up in the addon settings.

That a new use case where the start time is different to the catchup time. This is the first time I have heard of autoseek. Do you have screen shots of the what you see when you play a video?
