I tried to watch this episode.  It started and the full screen was immediately cut in half, horizontally, with only the top half showing (lower half was just black).  This is strange and has never happened before.  I also ran this with VLC with no problem.   Oh, I also ran other shows with no problems.

Thoughts?

I can say I had the same problem. It happened right after I did an update on the machine. That is all I know. As I had to get it working again asap and it is a PXE machine I simply switched it to my Xenial 16.04 image instead of Bionic 18.04. Solved, at least for me. But the issue remains on 18.04.

The logfile is not available anymore anyway. so it's hard to tell what happened.

I solved my problem.  What I did was to download different files and, then, everything was dandy.  I have had other strange problems with different files.  The strange thing is that if I play the same files with VLC there is no problem.  KODI, I think, may have a file problem but I have no idea what it might be.  Only that I can fix it by downloading different files.  This does not happen often so It not a real problem for me but, eventually, I assume that it will get fixed.

I have faith!!!!!!!!

So you expect that we fix something by luck without knowing what the actual problem is, because you are refusing to provide an additional log?

Good luck Wink
