Progress update: At the last DevCon in October, I talked to @lrusak and @a1rwulf about what's next. We were having difficulty with threads, so I added a call to the Game API: https://github.com/garbear/xbmc/commit/retro-gl-gbm-wip

With this change, we can continue on OGL support. Here's the most recent work of everyone involved: https://github.com/garbear/xbmc/commits/...l-gbm-wip2

Thank you! I see OGL 3.2 being mentioned, does that already mean this will be the minimum feature set required?

@widardd nothing is set about this, I'm pretty sure once we figure it out we'll have GLES as well.
Imho OGL 3.2 is definitely not a minimum requirement - in the end it always ends up on how much time is left to put into it.

@k0st1x I'm still struggling to find time getting on it again, as the change is quite involved I'm pretty sure it's nothing to be included in v19 - sorry.

Small update on my end, I've applied the working progress change to the 19 final release branch: https://github.com/garbear/xbmc/commit/retro-gl
