Nevermind, it does work indeed, the problem was that I had 4 seasons already scraped with OP's NFOs and Kodi didn't want to scrape the new season due to that. Thanks!

Does this tvshow.nfo require the TMDB scraper, or will it also work with the TVDB scraper?

Yeah it uses the TMDB scraper. Currently, the TVDB api doesn't allow for this. Refer to this for guidance: https://kodi.wiki/view/Naming_video_file...ode_Groups
