Any of my very high def movies show horrible light/dark contrast so much so that I have to keep adjusting the brightness to watch an HD film, and some are just washed over in a color. Someone recommended I down the HDR version of Kodi in order to fix this problem but I can't get any luck in running it for the files I need. Once I try to start the video, it just crashes. The log is not helpful for me so I hope someone else can see an issue.
Please see my log here. I start Kodi, go down to Videos, scroll down the video I want, hit play, screen flickers and Kodi HDR crashes. The video is an MKV file that I am trying to play, but it's a general problem I have as I mentioned with all HD.

As an aside, it surprises me that I can't just use the regular version of KODI to play HDR videos - why a special version when 4k is so popular? Why can't the Microsoft Store version just play 4k right out of the box?
Many thanks for the help you all provide in general and for whatever you can do for this question as well!
