Hello,
I'm trying to understand the mpeg-dash streaming, inputstream adaptive... as I have issues with Netflix plugin, but the question I'll ask here is related as you'll see.
To try do understand well, I installed Youtube add-on.
All videos were limited to 720p.
OK, I enable the mpeg-dash, as the inputstream adaptive was already installed for the Netflix plugin.
And... everything works perfectly, I can now choose an mpd source, and I can watch 1080p at different rates (23,976 , 24 , 25 , 29,9 ...) and everything is fluid.
But to try too understand, I hit the O key while playing to check is the video is really read trought inputstream adaptive.
And here comes my question, it's always written "video decoder : ff-2H264 (SW)"
If I play a mp4 source, a mod source (in 1080p), it's always written ff-h264.
Shouldn't be written "inputstream.adaptive.h264.decoder (SW)" like when I'm streaming from Netflix ?
Is it just a display bug ?
Or is it really decoding with ff-264 ?
In that case why to I have to enable mpeg-dash (inpustream adaptive) ?
Thanks for your answers !
(my problem is that the 1080p videos in Netflix are very stuttering at 23,976 and 25 fps, and it's not the case in Youtube add-on... So as they're both using inputstream adaptive do decode, I suspect a bug in the Netflix add-on)
