Big relief !
Got a new API key which works fine on both v6.7.0 and the new v 6.8.0 (beta?) No need for Sign in to the YouTube account too 😁
So apparently, the API from last year is "old": maybe the rumor about expiry after 6 month no-use is correct, even though the G dev console shows this as active.
Or maybe this is a YouTube Kodi thing?

Coming back to Kodi after a while to have installed v6.8.0, after reading that v6.7 fixed the API problem 😊
Well, I am using the same old YouTube API creds from last year, shown as Enabled under Google dev console, and have checked the numbers.
Still, when I press Popular right now I get the familiar YouTube: accessNot Configured window asking me to get API keys ! More info: ytaddon.page.link/keys.
In YouTube settings, I have disabled Sign In under Folders, hoping to not have to sign in my YouTube account, but never got to this Sign In stage, if necessary...
Please help ! 🤔
