It should work as long as you install the IA addon I posted above.

It will fix the green screen of death? I'll try it.

Nope. Green screen still present. 😬😔

Got it running!

Matt, I still have 1080p on my device! This is crazy. Do not know how accurate it may be... I'll take Kodi's info here. Please, look into this... Truly, odd. I know!!

PS: Hoping you take the leap to media export to the library, soon. 🤓

Well, here in NZ I get 4k, but just not 1080.
Do you have 4k option?
If you have L1 device enabled and H265 - you should get that option

Your log doesnt show anything...
You need to enable debug logging, then play the content, then send the log.
I suspect maybe different regions get different streams
I'll vpn around the globe and see!

NZ/AU/NETHERLANDS I GET
1: 14.79 Mbit/s 2560x1440 23.98 FPS
2: 14.66 Mbit/s 2560x1440 23.98 FPS
3: 7.04 Mbit/s 1280x720 23.98 FPS

But USA I GET
1: 26.90 Mbit/s 3840x2160 23.98 FPS
2: 26.77 Mbit/s 3840x2160 23.98 FPS
3: 21.24 Mbit/s 3840x2160 23.98 FPS
4: 21.11 Mbit/s 3840x2160 23.98 FPS
5: 17.20 Mbit/s 2560x1440 23.98 FPS
6: 17.07 Mbit/s 2560x1440 23.98 FPS
7: 14.79 Mbit/s 2560x1440 23.98 FPS
8: 14.66 Mbit/s 2560x1440 23.98 FPS
9: 11.88 Mbit/s 1920x1080 23.98 FPS
10: 11.75 Mbit/s 1920x1080 23.98 FPS
11: 9.95 Mbit/s 1920x1080 23.98 FPS
12: 9.82 Mbit/s 1920x1080 23.98 FPS
13: 8.16 Mbit/s 1920x1080 23.98 FPS
14: 8.03 Mbit/s 1920x1080 23.98 FPS
15: 7.04 Mbit/s 1280x720 23.98 FPS
..............

OK, so if USA with Thor Ragnarok with max quality and addon settings:
No L1: 1280x720 7.26 Mbit/s
L1: 1920x1080 14.12 MBit/s
L1 + H265: 1920x1080 10.65 MBit/s (H265 better encoding so less Mbit)
L1 + H265 + HDR10: 3840x2160 26.90 Mbit/s
L1 + H265 + DOLBY VISION: 3840x2160 27.65 Mbit/s

It only depends on what is your location when you login.
I can change to USA > Login > change back to NZ and still get above resolutions
But if I login NZ > change to USA > i still get the limited NZ streams
Different regions must allow different resolutions and this is stored in your login token
As they still request the same endpoints - only difference is the token they pass.

I'll pass that onto slyguy - i wonder if he can trick the location when logging in to unlock best resolutions for everyone.

Matt, but I did not get FHD until I updated to the current version. So, what would be my case? I dunno...

My PC updated to 1.1.4 first... So I grabbed the install file from my PC and installed it on my Fire TV.

PS: I LOVE THIS ADDON AND KODI! Playback is fabulous. My TV system switches hz and HDR when needed; Something I doubt playback from the app.

Good job, Matt!
I would like to create my own add-ons for various services but I cannot seem to figure out how to start. Hopefully, I do soon!

PC will never see FHD? I remember I had the UWP app for D+ working on desktop and that had FHD playback.

I'm glad I was able to contribute to this project. 😉✌️

We need more "subscription based" add-ons. Sincerely, there is no other versatile and precise media player available. Perhaps, If taken seriously this could slowly change the industry's perspective of the platform.

I have installed OSMC running Kodi 18.6 on a RPi 2 and installed Dysney+ according to your procedure (nice tuto !!) :
However, the add-on inputstream adaptive is still at Ver 2.4.3, and no update at 2.4.4 available....
I am not an expert, my question is may be stupid, but need I wait for an update or can I do something to force this update?

Thank you for your help!

Kind regards,
Philippe
@matthuisman
Have you seen my message ?
Could you help me ?

@bibi31470

you'll need osmc to push the update or hunt for an armv7 build of 2.4.4 IA.
I know LibreELEC has it in their repo.
Can't download directly from their in browser (as they block browser user-agents)
So quick python script to do it (or use a change user-agent extension in browser)

python:
import requests
import shutil

version = 'inputstream.adaptive-2.4.4.1.zip'
r = requests.get(f'http://addons.libreelec.tv/9.2.0/RPi2/arm/inputstream.adaptive/{version}', headers={'user-agent': 'libreelec'}, stream=True)

with open(version, 'wb') as f:
    r.raw.decode_content = True
    shutil.copyfileobj(r.raw, f)

Anyway, here it is for you:

We already have quite a solid list:

https://github.com/peak3d/inputstream.ad...ng-add-ons

Probably more that do not use IA.

Dear matthuisman,
Thank you for the zip file!

I have installed it with the add-on / add-on browser / install from a zip file
and rebboot the Rpi....
It works very well! We can read files from Disney+ without any problems now !!

Thank you very much for your help!

Just a question, where did you find the zip file ?

Have a nice evening! (as I am living in France, it is the morning here!)
Kind regards,
Philippe

@bibi31470 I pasted the code I used to pull it from LibreELEC repo in my post Smile

@27hectormanuel
Can you please stop spamming about the add-on your trying to make
No one is going to walk you through it. Your going to have spend time experimenting and looking at other peoples add-ons.
If you can't do that - you will just need to put a request in the Add-on Request forum and wait.
