Apparently Clean Library is not sufficient to get rid of the old garbage. It still gets stuck at 86% for 5 minutes, even on the 3rd run.

Is there a Compress Database or a Flush Cache hidden somewhere?

I can't answer your question directly as it's beyond my knowledge.

However I have started using Millhouse's clean database script, which is pretty powerful in its options.

@Harri - tail -f the kodi log while you're cleaning... I'll bet it's trying to connect to foreign urls.

Found it on https://github.com/MilhouseVH/texturecache.py. On the first run it deleted about 2.0 GByte garbage.
