Tried installing Kodi on a Windows 10 Laptop, I tried it on a previous Windows 10 install with no success and also just did a fresh Windows 10 install as well and tried again and still no joy, it has a lot of missing DLL files and will not work.  I can't find a version of 18.6, which would be perfect.  Any tips on how I can install 18.6?

I just found the mirror site and 18.6 installed and works perfectly.

there's a known issue with 18.7 that might explain the issue you are having:

the trick would be to install 18.6 first, then install 18.7 on top of it.

For those of you on Android, following successfull beta channel trails a patched version of Leia 18.7 release is currently being rolled out on Play Store  - code versions 18.07.200 (ARM) and 18.07.201 (ARM64).

Sorry for any inconvenience caused for those that experienced the jittering issue. Android devices are very diverse in both hardware and software, thus effectively impossible for the team to test on even a small subset of combinations. For the continued development of Kodi in v19 and beyond we need the community to contribute with testing the nightlies and giving clear feedback on issues if they can.

Will the Windows 18.7 installer be fixed to include the Visual C++ Redistributable at some point? There have been a few posts in the Windows section about 18.7 not loading due to those missing.

I have tried 4 times to install 18.7 Leia.
Same error each time:
Click run Kodi.
Cannot run due to missing msvcp140.dll
Hit CR again and get cannot run due to missing vcruntime140.dll

Suggestion is to install again, but that does not change anything.

I ran version 16 something for years W7 64  Ultimate - w no problem.

Same Home built AMD  8530? as above.
Just switched from 7 to W10 Pro-64 10.0.18363 build 18363
24 GB RAM

It is used to gather additional information on crashes in Kodi. As you are using a previous version of Kodi it is optional and not needed.
