I wanted to start a new thread in the Skins sub-forum, but the "New Thread" button wasn't present. Then I noticed that several sub-fora were also missing that button. When I came here, at first I saw the button, but I wanted to perform a search before posting. When I came back from the search, the button was gone again! After reloading the page over and over, it finally came back so that I could post this.

I'm a long-standing registered user with no negative reports, but I also have zero reputation points. If because of some database issue my profile was set such that I wasn't allowed to post, then I shouldn't have been able to post this, so that can't be it.

Please help?

Solved. I was expecting the New Thread button to be at the top, but apparently if's lower down when you can only post to that lower sub-forum.

Yes, the New Thread button can be tricky. Subforums push it down lower.
